Temples in Kerala have some music which prompted me to do this. Among other influences, it should have remained in my psyche giving me the Deep Calm Feel of the Kind Dark Gods and their Effective Oracles.

A Harmonic minor. D is taken as the root.
It is again a minor :
Root, 2nd, minor 3rd, sharp 4th, fifth, 6th, minor 7th, octave.
Sa, Ri2, Ga1,Ma2,Pa,Dha2,Ni1,Sa.
All other notes who were ready to be sung or played are there too
I feel this raaga is good to express your 'yearning for something or one' really well.

'Ada' is not a very famous movie with ARRahman songs. Nokia happened to start a remix competition on a song – Gulfisha – from that movie. The following mp3 was done for that. The original vocal track as recorded by ARRahman, was provided.

The original song is straight – 4/4 common time. In this remix, the provided vocal track was edited appropriately  to have swing, 6/8 parts in the beginning which then gets to the straight one. It has some monk singing too.

And then … something happens in between that could make you sit straight and take notice or make your hand move. You will soon realize how it matches with the context in which the remix was originally made.

(this was done some time back and the sound has improved since. You may notice that this song has a slightly different sound than the newer ones in the site.)
