Monk’s Indian World

Would like some Indian singing with guitar accompaniment? Raaga on chords? Melody, meditation, harmony and some Heartfelt GibberishTM?

Roots in India, One with the World.

I love the Carnatic twist, and his guitars and soothing voice. Very drawn to the mix of Carnatic with Spanish and the guitar chord sequences! Ashanti Omkar

Koi Saya Zilmilaya -Ghazal Hariharan Zakir Hussain – Hazir – Indian Singing Guitar

Song from the album Hazir – Hariharan & Zakir hussain. Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus. Fun getting back on the rhythm train at the right spot to match the melody with the bars.

  1. Madhava is a traditional south indian (carnatic) song sung with guitar backing. Carnatic music – its depth, variety and emotional content. Watch the video to see what i mean. Perform for you?

You are a very talented artist! I love the music – Dhimant Vyas

  2. Dark Indian Lullaby  Singing in tongues – expressing the music by gathering the nearest sounds available in my mind terrain and putting them out as the desired melody. Listen to this melodic gibberish – very much Monk. Very much Kutampliski's Duckling. More lullabies will be sung . . . promise. Compose for you? Sing for you?

  5. Reethi Probably my best laptop arrangement/sequencing/composing work. Loosely based on raga reethigowla, this song has string arrangements, vocal arrangements, synth leads and pads, guitar and vocal percussions, and more

  8. Harmonic minor 4th mode Raaga Singing A semi – academic song based on the 4th mode of Harmonic minor which happens to be a beautiful raaga to sing.

My favorites are Dark Indian Lullaby and Marugelara – that piece is simply beautiful – Steff Metal  (the heavy metal life style)

I enjoyed your music, from songwriter to songwriter, great arrangement – I can almost hear your endless hours of practice to create such a landscape of winding guitar melodies and heart comforting vocalizations. I think greatness comes from the center of you.- Mary
