ARRahman Monk Remix – Gulfishious monk

'Ada' is not a very famous movie with ARRahman songs. Nokia happened to start a remix competition on a song – Gulfisha – from that movie. The following mp3 was done for that. The original vocal track as recorded by ARRahman, was provided.
The original song is straight – 4/4 common time. In this remix, the provided vocal track was edited appropriately to have swing, 6/8 parts in the beginning which then gets to the straight one. It has some monk singing too.
And then … something happens in between that could make you sit straight and take notice or make your hand move. You will soon realize how it matches with the context in which the remix was originally made.
(this was done some time back and the sound has improved since. You may notice that this song has a slightly different sound than the newer ones in the site.)

Yes I do like this one a lot and especially the monkish 'something happens' in the middle, as its both funny and foot-tappingly stirring.
I suggest empty out the Rahman stuff (nice as it is) and leave your 6/8 groove, write a new longer melody (suggest resolving only at the end of the 'eight' instead of Rahman's repeats, and go down where he goes up, or… something). And it will be fully Monkishious!
